Metal Monday - Tyler

Today's Metal Monday story is told by Tyler who works in the office at Dickmann Manufacturing Company. Metal Mondays are short stories told by employees at Dickmann Manufacturing Company in Grafton, Wisconsin. The stories consist of their favorite metal types and what they would make if they could manufacture anything in our fabrication and stamping shop. Read Tyler's Metal Monday story below.

What is your favorite type of metal?
Tyler: Galvanized Steel

If you could manufacture anything in the Dickmann Manufacturing Company shop with your favorite type of metal what would you make?
Tyler: I would make outdoor themed laser cut railing inserts to give as a gift to my parents for their cottage up north.

How would you create it?
Tyler: I would work with the design team here at DMC to create the design and use the laser cutter to cut out the railing inserts. After the design is cut out I would use a black powder coating to give the railings a protective finish and shine.

An example of one of the railing inserts Tyler would like to create.

What would you use it for?
Tyler: I would use the laser cut railing inserts I made and give them as a gift to my parents for their cottage up north. The inserts would be used as a railing decorations along the stairs inside the cottage to give it an authentic outdoor feel.
