Gov. Walker Visits Dickmann Manufacturing

Governor Scott Walker visited Dickmann Manufacturing Company in Grafton last December of 2014 as a part of his Year of a Better  Bottom Line initiative, as well as a part of Take Your Legislator to Work Campaign, which is organized by the Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities. On his visit, Governor Walker worked alongside Spencer Kletzein,(pictured below) a Dickmann Manufacturing Company employee since 2012. The Year of A Better Bottom Line is a targeted initiative intended to make it easier for those with disabilities to overcome challenges preventing them from entering the workforce. Governor Walker offered kind words toward Dickmann Manufacturing stating, "Dickmann Manufacturing is an exemplary business that is paving the way by establishing a work environment that is conducive and supportive for those with disabilities to work on a daily basis, accomplished by providing the necessary training and resources for success." Governor Walker proclaimed 2014 as the Year of A Better Bottom Line to encourage and promote employment opportunities for people with disabilities. We were very honored to have Governor Walker here.

A few weeks after the visit, Spencer and his mother were invited to the Governor's State of the State Address in Madison, WI. During the governor's speech, Dickmann Manufacturing Company and Spencer were again recognized for their contributions.
